Laurel hedge is a beautiful addition to any landscape. It can be used as a privacy fence, or as an accent plant. In this blog post, we will discuss planting and care of Laurel hedge. We will provide tips on how to get your Laurel hedge looking its best!

When planting Laurel hedge, it is important to choose a location that receives full sun. Laurel hedge can tolerate partial shade, but will not grow as lush and full in these conditions. Laurel hedge prefers well-drained soil. If you have heavy clay soil, amend it with sand or compost before planting. Laurel hedge is tolerant of a wide range of soil pH levels, but prefers a slightly acidic soil.

Once you have selected a location for your Laurel hedge, it is time to plant! Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Gently remove the plant from the container and place it in the hole. Fill in with soil and tamp down gently. Water well after planting. Laurel hedge is drought tolerant once established, but will need regular watering during the first growing season.

Laurel hedge can be pruned to shape as desired. For a formal look, prune Laurel hedge into a straight line. For a more natural look, prune Laurel hedge into an organic shape. Pruning also helps to encourage new growth. Laurel hedge can be pruned in late winter or early spring.

Now that you know how to plant and care for Laurel hedge, it is time to enjoy your beautiful new addition to the landscape!
